9/6/1993 Steely Dan, Blockbuster Desert Sky Pavilion, Phoenix, AZ

 28 years ago today...

September 6, 1993 - Phoenix, AZ

Steely Dan reformed for a reunion tour at Blockbuster Desert Sky Pavilion.
Steely Dan frontmen Walter Becker and Donald Fagen had taken some years off, but rejoined for this tour with a large band including a second lead guitar, three female background singers and a four-piece saxophone section which included Cornelius Bumpus, featured in the September 1 edition of TTST.
The band played a sample of songs from each of their records to date. Shows from this tour were recorded and later released on the band's "Alive In America" album.
We hope to see the current edition of Steely Dan next May at this same venue, a concert that will have been postponed for two years due to Covid restrictions.
